On August 17th, Lei Jun, along with Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing and Vice President Wang Xiaoyan, conducted a live broadcast from Xiaomi’s Turpan summer testing base. This live event was initiated after Lei Jun and Lu Weibing returned from a business trip to Europe. During their European visit, Lei Jun, Lu Weibing, and others toured companies such as BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Leica, exploring the potential for further cooperation. Lu Weibing stated during the broadcast that Europe is lagging significantly behind China in the transition to new energy. Xiaomi approaches the automotive market with a sense of reverence and is currently researching the timing for Xiaomi’s entry into the European market.
